Longarm Hammock

Post by auntjana » Fri Feb 27, 2009 1:26 pm

Hi there - My little furry friend, my cat loves to use my quilt when I have it on the frame as his own personal hammock and leaves fur all over my top. I have tried many ways to keep him off- to no avail - so I just found this nifty new "notion" for this problem. It is that new pet sweeper for fur removal that just came on the market in my area. It is wonderful - no more fur in a few easy swipes. Try it if you have a furry quilt friend as I do.

To keep my cats off my "hammock", I lay aluminum foil the length of my frame on the hammock-no cats! I learned this from the Yahoo group for longarm quilters. Works with all cats, too. Amie :o)

I went to my DD's friend's house and on the sofa, love seat, and two chairs there was a wadded up aluminum foil. I asked why there was aluminum foil everywhere and it was to keep the two big dogs off the furniture. I had never heard of it before.
