Hi Amiee. . . . I tried the French Rose pattern. Are they supposed to be ragged on the edges? These were the only fabrics (FQ) that I had that were unwashed so I think the frayed edge is the desired outcome. If these are OK, then I will get them off to Maryellen/Mequilter.

Thanks Littlebit!

Mequilter just let me know they are OK also. Frayed edges and mis matched fabrics are waaaaaaay out of my comfort zone so just needed to know they were alright. I like precision and color/fabric coordination so even trying the scrappy challenge the "Boxey Stars" is going to be "different" for me.

These were fun to make though. This will be a good project for all of us.

Take Care,

They are just perfect! Isn't is liberating?? At first I was like.....Oh S*$@! My 1/4" is so not perfect! But, once I realized that the 1/4" on these beauties is just a guide not an absolute, I was wild and free. I just love how they all came out...after I learned from the first 2. Oasis, your blocks look just like mine, imperfectly perfect :o) Amie

Thanks Amie. . . .I printed out your tips and had at it.

We still need to do the scrappy challenge. Have you done anything with your new toy, the serger? I'm hoping to at least plug mine in and try it sometime this weekend. I have a lesson on the 9th so should at least have turned it on. LOL

Hi, all! I posted a couple of pictures on the swap thread.... front and backside!

I've decided to do a very light green Moda marble background on mine... I'm also going to make extra blocks for myself so that I can make a queensized quilt...

These go so easily! The hard part is cutting out the roses!!! LOL!!! (at least for me it is!)
