BLOCK LOTTO,,,check this out
If there is enough interest, I will host a Block Lotto beginning in January. Here are the rules. If you would be interested, please let me know, and I will go from there. Here are the rules so you can decide. Thanks!!! Have FUN!!! Caroline
Block Lotto
Lotto is for QIAD form members only
Hostess will choose a pattern and color theme which will be easy
enough for all to do.
You may send in from one to three blocks
You will be entered once per block
Hostess will draw a name on the last day of the month and the winner
will receive all the blocks
I require nothing for hosting other than I ask you enclose 2 stamps to
cover postage to mail blocks to winner.
There will be a pre determined amount of blocks required for a queen
size quilt..if the entries exceed that amount the extra blocks will be set
aside until December when there will be a drawing for those for a
Sampler quilt
You do not have to enter every month, you may make only blocks you
like..but you must have entered at least one block a month to be eligible
for the Christmas drawing..
Blocks should be pressed, trimmed of loose threads, and as well
constructed as you are able. No one expects perfection, but do try to send
blocks that you would be proud to receive yourself.
Enclose blocks in a baggie with two stamps. If you are a smoker please
give the a quick shot of Febreeze.
Mail blocks to me by the end of the month.Drawing will be held the firts
day of the following month. Any late blocks will go into the Christmas
drawing.
In your envelope, include your real name, your Forum name, your e mail

Re: BLOCK LOTTO,,,check this out
I've participated in both lottos and swaps. They both have their advantages. My swap blocks still need to be made into quilts but my lotto block win is now a quilt. Hum... maybe that means I should particiate in the lottos instead of the swaps?
Will the fabrics be specific, like it was in the autograph swap (use this sepecfic fabric) or something more general -- wow background and med & dark blue (not that that sound very general -- it's all realative)
