I love your Christmas blocks. Can't wait to see the quilt finished.

Very nice! Are you going to swap there somehow?

Ladies, thanks for all of the wonderful complements! I feel that there are a few "oopses" where corners don't meet exactly, but from the pics, they don't look too bad. It was fun to make these, but hard to let some of my favorites go, too...

Oasis, I am participating in a Christmas block swap. There were 16 of us and we all made the 15 different blocks that we voted on, and we could choose number 16 ourselves. We send them to maryq and she sorts them and we each get 16 new blocks to make a quilt with. I loved the idea, because I NEVER would have tried some of these patterns, so I was challenged with these. It also gave me a chance to use some of the fat quarters I received in a Christmas fat quart swap.

Peaches, yes I think you did detect Mistletoe Manor!

WOW! And I thought mine were good! LOL! They are lovely. I'm on the variable star now, hope to have them all done by the 16th of July.

I have a question as to squaring them up. The patterns say it makes a 12" block, I am assuming this means finished? Right? or not?

Again, beautiful blocks! Would love to see pictures of everyone's when they are done.

Blocks should be 12 1/2 inches square. This allows for the 1/4 inch seam when sewing them together.

Maryq, I will have mine in the mail tomorrow. I have 3 more to get done tonight.

Liz,

From this picture... can you tell me which one was your quilters choice?

Yes, they are in order by rows from left to right. block 1 on our list is upper left hand corner) The bottom right hand corner is the quilter's choice. It is called Scrapbagger! Hope this helps!
