Just wondering if anyone would be interested in doing an exchange of squares for the Bullseye Pattern? You need a 9" neutral square, 8", 6" and 4" circle. The circles get sewn with a 1/4" seam, on top of the square. After each circle, you trim the excess material from the back. When they're all done, you cut the squares into 4 pieces, mix them up and sew back together. It's fun and easy and goes really fast. If we get enough participants it won't take long at all. If it sounds like something you'd like, please let me know. We could do it with fall colors, 30's prints or whatever. I'll be more than happy to head it up. Since it's summertime, how about September for the exchange date?

yardage requirements as listed in the book:

3 1/4 yds total assorted light fabrics for backgrounds (that's doing the squares 9X9.......I'd like to do them 10X10 s0 we can trim them)
2 1/2 yds total assorted prints for large circles (8")
1 1/2 yds total assorted prints for medium circles (6")
3/4 total yds assorted prints for small circles (4")
1/2 yd print for inner border
1 yd print for outer border
3 5/8 yd for backing
3/8 yd for binding

That will make the Finished Quilt 58" x 74", finished blocks will be 8"8. The quilt in the book is done with 48 squares - 6 across each row, 8 rows total.

13 is the total count as of right now.......I'd like to get it to 24 if at all possible. Know of anyone else interested in joining us?

calicopuzzle
leetec
gardenquilter
GeorgiaPeach
astitchintime
sewglad

I would love to be able to get 10 more signed up, so that we would have 24 total. If not, we'll close it up on Sunday night. That way we'll know how many we need to make.
I've got the day off, so I'm headed to the LQS as soon as they open. It's a wonderful, small shop that has gorgeous batiks. In fact, they always have at least 2 batik BOM's going on a regular basis. Best selection in town.

OPPPSSS! didn't mean to confuse anyone, mequilter9158 is heading this up. I just transferred the information, Debi.
I think we did decide to do Fall batiks, with either cream cotton or cream batiks for the background.
