Thanks, Kathy and Val! Kathy, are you going to give them a try? They are easier and quicker than they look. You do need the ruler or a template, though. There is a DP template in QIAD's Egg Money book, but it is too short by about 1-1/4" on both ends. If You could carefully lengthen that template at both the wide and narrow ends it could work.

Maryz did you use the template? How big is your block? Mine measures just about 19 1/8 from tip to tip across. They go on a 22 inch background square so they are pretty big. Kathy give a holler if you need some more help.

Valerie, It looks like most are leaning to dark colors. Is there a color you want them done in?

Lyn whatever you have on hand. I was going to try and one in brighter colors.

MaryZ has one that looks brighter.

Thanks for all the encouragement, I did buy the ruler so I will give it a try. The hardest part for me is grouping the fabric together. KathyR

The blocks posted are really pretty.

I made a template from the measurements I was given and will try a block soon. Fingers crossed. I just tried the MSQC website, they are sold out of that template, Guess Kathy got the very last one.

Slow and steady KathyR. Everything should match right up. Don't worry if the bottom of the blades match. You want the two corners at the top to match.

Chriss God work in mysterious ways, 🙏 it will all be fine.

Lori I so appreciate you always being here to help. I try to check frequently but sometimes it gets ahead of me. A second set of eyes is always wonderful!

VAL, my blocks also measure about 19-1/8". I already had the MSQC ruler and used that. But I remembered El's Egg Money book also has DP blocks and she includes templates. So I laid my ruler against her template and it was exact, except shorter. I hope to make one or two more plates from different fabrics before I mail.
