I am ready for the rain to be done and the flowers to be blooming! This month we will be doing a "Quilter's Choice" lotto. You pick the block with the following applied to your choice.

1. It must be a flower block (there are bunches of them on the internet)
2. Background should compliment your flower
3. It must be 12.5 inches unfinished
4. It can be traditionally pieced, paper pieced, or appliqued. (note if appliqued) please use of at least 75% of your background to applique on to)
5. Remember this is a practice year so try to incorporate a skill that you would like to improve on
6. Make as many or as few blocks as you like.

Please start sending to me again. If you don't have my address, please PM me. Mary has done a wonderful job of filling in but it's time for me to take it back.

Looking forward to a wonderful garden!

The winner will have an allergy free beautiful colorful quilt. There are so many happy flowers to choose from. This will be fun.

I looked up my birth flower, not thrilled with the Larkspur or water lilly but could be interested in a daisy

Thanks for doing this Valerie, And thank you Maryq for helping out. I love having a distraction each month, and I can make this one a little more challenging, or not. Either way I can make it fun and colorful.

Welcome aboard to you both. Yes I need allergy free flowers!

I might give paper piecing a try?

Chriss my flower is a Marigold. That one might be a bit difficult

Chriss, I looked up the flower for my birth month and it's Cosmos. They are pretty and colorful.

Chriss, the water lily is so pretty.

I'll join you all this month. I love flowers.

Valerie, I was thinking of attempting paper piecing too. There is a FB group that has a birth flower block of the month going on. I am going to pick a different flower for each block I send in so the search is on.

Lori, the water lilly is really pretty but so many petals to sew down. I think the possibilities are great with flowers, it will be fun to do.

My birth flowers are Asters and morning glories, asters look difficult but morning glories don't look to hard. Count me in. KathyRe

Kathy, it doesn't have to be your birth flower, any flower will work. I was just curious about my birth flower.

Here is my first block. I've been all over the internet looking at flowers. I wish you could search and omit Etsy but I haven't figured out how yet.

Love it Chriss. It looks like a Lori Holt pattern.
