Thanks. That last flower was one for the thinker. There were no directions, I was looking at some PP flowers but there are so many seams in the blocks I've seen. I think my next one will be applique.

The rose is all cut out. Will take it with me tomorrow at free sew and try to get it together there.

Eleanor s "Magic Vine" book has lots of fun flowers.
I'm going to take a look and see what I can find.

I was looking through my Magic Vine book yesterday. Nice thing about that book is you can do the "3-D" versions or you can do flat applique.

I learned this morning that my machine, already gone 11 days, finally got his turn on the technician's work bench and it was determined he needs a new part - which will take 1 to 3 weeks to be delivered. Then the repair, and then it will be trucked back to Tacoma from Seattle shop. So I broke down and Bill brought my travel machine into the house. A couple weeks without a machine is do-able (as long as weather is good and I can play outside) - but a month or possibly more just can't happen!! So tomorrow, when weather turns chilly and wet again, I'll be trying a couple of ideas.
