I made a sample block, worked great. I cut fabric for 5 blocks and did the first step, chain sewing of all pieces, cause medium or dark fabric are sewn to a light (white). Then it all went south. I wrote out the instructions and used the words on the video, Light, dark, medium. 'Light' was my down fall. I should have written 'White'. When I started the 2nd step, I read light and picked up my pieces that were my lighter fabric (medium) and sewed what should have been a dark fabric step. Sooo, I will be cutting new pieces tomorrow. It would take too much time froggin'. Uffda!!

So if anyone else decides to write the instructions down, I highly recommend using the word, White and not Light.

Lyn, I had a mix up of pieces too. Seems the way she names the colors aren't the same as the way they are sewn. I even used post it notes to lable my fabric. Still had confusion. But, once I figured it out it was easy.

Maryq, I am going to trek out of the house today. The neighbors are letting me use their driveway and I will get my blocks in the mail.

I counted the number of blocks in the pictures posted and there are 16. Hoping there will be more coming. The blocks aren't difficult to make, a quilt of flowers would be so pretty

This month is almost half over, there is still time to sew up those blocks and mail them to Mary.

My blocks should arrive Tuesday, looking forward to the next block.

Tracking shows that my blocks are out for delivery. They weren't supposed to be there until Tuesday.

Valerie, I do pray you feel up to sewing today. I miss your old self.

Lori great blocks. I am getting there. Not 100% but much better. Having asthma is always difficult with respiratory infections. Thank you for asking.

I have 3 done and working on 4. Hope to mail by Tuesday.

beautiful flowers Lori. It always amazes me how many different fabrics there are. It's what I love the most about scrappy quilts, there are so many fabrics, and so many different tastes when it comes to purchasing fabric. and some I have never seen before pop up into these swaps. It's really cool.

Valerie, glad you were able to get some blocks done. Sure hope you are back to your old self soon.
