Re: Welcome to January 2023 Lotto
Happy New Lotto Year!
I will be sitting this month out. I don't have appropriate fabrics with me but I do have lots of other sewing projects to keep me more than busy so I'll be admiring all your blocks from the sidelines.

Katy, hope you can come play.
Maryz, you just might come across a store that sells flowers, there's 31 days left in this lotto, hope you change your mind.
Maryq and Lori, I watched the video starting with sound then shut the sound off so I could easily rewind and start the video. She seems to have a You Tube for many different blocks, I like her too.
Lyn, I also need to make my spare just for me block.

Re: Welcome to January 2023 Lotto
After a few false starts, I finally figured it out!
if you aren't crazy about the swirly one.. no worries, I'll keep that one for myself. I have LOTS and LOTS of 2.5" strips and they work really great for this block!
ps... just for laughs... the light fabric in the top left block was scraps from the quilt I made for Kevin and Sara in 2007!

Re: Welcome to January 2023 Lotto
I have been at the hospital all day. I have to admit even being a Hospice nurse this is a bit overwhelming. Just signed all the consents and now worried I did it wrong.
To give me some breathing room, Maryq has offered to help. I will continue to choose the block but you will mail to Mary in Minnesota. If you don't have her address please PM myself or her.
As my house finds its new normal over the next few months, I will resume all the Lotto tasks. Right now he is a two person assist so I will need to be present more often to assist caregiver. We will have visits from nurse 2x/week, aide 2x/wk, Chaplin 1x month and MSW 1x month. So lots of visitors.
I appreciate all the kind words from everyone. With no family close it really makes a difference.

Great blocks Maryq.
Valerie, wise decision. I'm glad you are able to take a little off your plate while you focus on your dad.

Well after watching the video and rewinding and pausing and rewinding and pausing, I finally figured it out. After the first one it got easier, so here are my squares.
Praying for you and your family, Val take all the time you need, thanks Maryq for helping out. KathyR
