Sorry for the late reply. Been a busy day. I cut the rectangle 3.5 x 2.0. Mark a diagonal line on the wrong side of two 2 inch squares. Place square on rectangle corner and sew on the diagonal line. Press open then repeat on other corner.

Let me see if I can find a YouTube video and I will post link. I am probably calling it the wrong thing.

Thanks Valerie, the tutorial you linked is how I made my geese as well. Only difference is I clipped the entire triangle (both pieces) then ironed the top back so that there was no bulk.
Not sure that makes sense. Perhaps the attached will help, I googled Flying geese 3 x 1 1/2
