Re: August lotto
I have quite a bit of basic solid black, but different shades. Surprising how different it is! But my current project is using my black and brights. I will have to see what you have up your sleeve, Valerie. I'm intrigued.
Joann's and Hobby Lobby are both about 15 miles from me, but with price of fuel and toll on the bridge, it has to be a good sale to make it worthwhile to go there. I do have Michael's here in G.H. with their little bit of fabric and our tiny new LQS, Sew Hip. I'm sure both would have something as basic as black - if I run out.

We have a Michael's just a hop, skip and a jump away but don't recall ever seeing fabric in there. I will have to go check.

Michaels and Walmart are in the same town as Joanns and Hobby Lobby, 30 minutes away.
Michaels here has very little fabric, mostly FQ's

Here's my first August lotto block. I really like this block Valerie! I need to put it on my list to make a quilt from this block for sure!
