I have my box ready. I am planning to mail early. I will let Maryq know the tracking #. My Elf can just keep it a secret until opening day!!!
I know a bunch of people mailed early in years past, so I am going to try that for me, this year.

Still thinking about one more little thing to add that might fit. LOL.

Well nothing came so guess Vel is not my Secret Santa. I did finally pick up a few things at the LQS the other day. I few little notions that may be useful. But it will come together. I promise!

How is everyone else doing? I am aiming not to be the last one to mail!

I am not saying when I will ship, I just want to make sure it gets headed out early. When is opening day anyway? It's December 10 I think. We should all be mailing early with how slow the mail is now days. I like to allow a couple of weeks, or 10 days maybe.
Let me tell you, I trust the post office a lot more than FedEx!! I had a notification of a delivery of a package on Friday at 1:58pm. I still didn't get it, but tracking # says it was left at my front door on Friday. I was home, with front door open with storm door with a big window to see out. It never was delivered. I tried to get assistance from FedEx. But no help at all. It was like they didn't believe me. They kept saying the tracking shows it was delivered. Oh, needless to say, I was furious!!
Finally called the companywhere I made the purchase and they are sending me a repeat shipment, but some items are now out of stock. Grrrr! I had to choose alternate items.
Point being. Best to mail with USPS and ("If it fits, it ships") or Flat Rate box. Doesn't matter what it weighs, one price!

Vel I agree. Allow at least 10 days even though we pay big bucks for for 3 day delivery.
DH waited close to a week on an overnight FedEx package. I guess the sender should have mentioned how many overnights.
I am starting to feel the excitement.

It's funny. I can send a package to Marilyn about 3 1/2 hours away and it will get there the next day. I can send something to my parents 30 miles away and it takes a few days. Crazy.

Velda, I think the FedEx drivers are marking things delivered so they show the guaranteed delivery time. It happened to me and 2 days later my package showed up. So far all my flat rate priority packages through the post office
have only been taking 2 to 3 days, I'm hoping that continues. But still I'll allow at least 7 days for those.
