I've decided on a Vintage Ornament block from Lori Holt's "Vintage Christmas" book.

Hi Tina. I saw your FB posting about the Christmas Swap. I have been thinking and thinking about how I can do this. The thought of not joining was heartbreaking.
I had a delightful and uplifting conversation with Lyn tonight. Talked about the pros and cons of joining. The only con would be my recovery. The pro of this con is because you making the deadline the middle of September would make it easier for me to make 1 block every few days. I know when to take a break/nap so I don’t overdo it.
I will be making a bell, gingerbread man/woman or a present. I will do a test run with help from hubby to see what the easiest is.
Hope you hear from Lyn soon.

Don't text with Teresa late at night! You end up talking each other into doing the Christmas swap.
I'm in.
I will probably be making an Ohio star if I can find the focal fabric I want to use.

Re: Christmas Swap of 2020 Is Now Open 9 spots left! This is the last day for signups!!
Ok, I changed my mind. I will join to make an even 12. We can have a nice 3 x 4 block lap quilt.
I will make a poinsetta block.

Re: Christmas Swap of 2020
Signups are closed and we are making 12 blocks each. That'll either be a nice throw size or you can add to other blocks that we all probably have from years past ( ) to make a bigger quilt. I have a 12 block quilt made from the first Christmas swap I participated in and I added sashing and a wide border and it's on a queen size bed and I have my king size one that I made from 2+ years of swap blocks. Many different possibilities. Happy sewing! Looking forward to seeing everyone's blocks! Please, if you can, post a pic of your block when you get one done so we can all see ❤
Thank you all for joining!

Re: Christmas Swap of 2020
WE just returned yesterday afternoon from camping and I see we've added several more happy faces (keyboards? ) to this swap! Now to get busy! I just love Christmas sewing! And 12 blocks with sashing and a festive border make it just the right size to toss over a couch. Happy stitching, everyone!
