almost finished. after work tomorrow I will sew down my grandma's tulip. Made one pineapple block. tried really hard to make one with curved piecing, something rose. no such luck. I can't get it to match up.

So, in Tuesdays' mail I will send 2 blocks.

HOpefully they will get there in time.

My husband is a good boy. He took my package to the post office and remembered to ask for tracking. Not to mention he had warm home made chocolate chip cookies coming out of the oven.

Teresa, the tracking number is 9500114537010084244925

YES - Tina they have arrived!!!
YES - Lori yours have arrived also
YES - they have all ARRIVED and they are WONDERFUL!!!!! I am tickled from my head to my toes
Love the delightful colors and the fabrics were splendid!!! They just make me think Spring and FUN!!!!!!

Chriss - What a Great Hubby you have!!! I am just as perplexed with my block as you were with your Melon Block. So you are not alone. I am mentioning this here for all so they will keep this in mind when printing TEMPLATES.
I am wondering if when you printed the template you forgot to make sure it was on "Actual Size".
I was just about to make one when the Melon block and the Pineapple (GORGEOUS!!!!!) Arrived.
I noticed that your templates cut outs were smaller than mine. The cutting was a bit off to not give you room to get to the edge. I Absolutely LOVE your Fabric for this block!!!! I will send the fabric back so you can re-use it for another block. Got to LOVE SCRAPS!!!!

I am bummed enough with my blocks. I just could not get them to be 16.5". All 3 are different sizes because of the adjustments I made to my 1/4" seam and still they are not the right size. I have 2 days to see if I can do something with them. I am hoping perservence will WIN the right size of the blocks so I can enter.

Until then - keep your WINNING FINGERS CROSSED!!!!

Teresa, you are likely right about the template, I didn't see where it said to enlarge it. I bet that was my problem. keep the melon block I don't want you to send me the pieces back. but I am glad you reminded me about the size of the template. I very rarely use templates. good adivce.

WOW I have never had this much difficulty making these blocks. The 4 - I made years ago on our trip East in 2-15 were a breeze. This time I made 3 Mexican Star's but they are ALL different sizes ranging from 17.5 to just over 16.5".

Then I tried making the Corner Star but got tangled up when I added the corners and it measured 13.5" instead of being able to sq to 12.5" - I am really perplexed and tomorrow is the last day.

We are leaving tomorrow around 6am to stand in line at Costco hoping to FINALLY get some toilet paper. We have missed it 3 times by seconds of the last package to leave the palette. UGH!!! It is Senior's Day so Fingers Crossed. The Dr scheduled me for an MRI for my Lower Back. Still having trouble with my sides. My hips are well but he is thinking the SI joint was been damaged last year when I stepped and turned wrong. Life will go on.

I have the tickets ready but don't feel my name should go in unless I can produce a 16.5" block. Will try one more time tomorrow when we get home and Post the Winners Names on Wednesday April 1st.

Hope that is OK with you all. Have an awesome last day of the Month.
