Well, my fabric made it to the Farmington USPS facility today at 1:30. Maybe they will get it to me tomorrow.

Got notification this morning. Package is out for delivery from USPS as of 7:10 this morning.
Izzy, I'm not surprised. The package was ground shipment for the whole trip. It transferred from Fed-Ex to USPS at Aurora, Co.
I'm going to get my ugh-lies started (and hopefully finished) while I wait for the delivery. Now to get started.

At 10:07 got a notification my fabric was delivered to my mail box. I waited until 10:40 or so before going to get it. Mail had been delivered, but no fabric package. It was a bit frustrating, so I came home and called the post office. They called the mail carrier while I was on hold, and when they came back to the phone said the mail carrier would check the box later when she was back in the area. It was 4:00 before I got my fabric. Ugh!!!! My background fabric is on back order, so yet another delay to starting my blocks. Boohoo...

MARY ROSE, I hope your fabric comes soon! Any idea how long the back order will take?
I did find what I perceive to be an error in log cabin cutting directions in case you want to make a notation in your own book. On page 88, bottom of the page, Item #15: Directions say to cut a 2" x 11-1/4" strip for the 12" block. That should be a 2" x 11-1/2" strip. My strips were all 1/4" too short. My book was published in 2003 so maybe it's been corrected in subsequent publications. There were a few other errors in this book and back in 2011 corrections were posted on the QIAD website. I'm not sure where those corrections are now. The errors were on pages 6, 14, 18, and 19 - all pages for fabric requirements if you are making the entire quilt from the same fabrics. I printed them all off in 2011 and can find no difference in the corrected page and the printed book except on page 19, upper left, Blue #1. They forgot to add (4) 2" x 3-1/2" for Carpenter's Wheel. But in the directions for that block (pg. 55), it is printed correctly. I hope I've been able to explain this somewhat clearly.
I've got 8 blocks finished. I hope to get a good start on the rest of them today!

Mary z I have no idea how long the back order is going to be. I'm going to see if anyone local has gotten any CW fabrics in yet. If not, I will check other sites on-line to see if I can get some more background fabric soon, all of which will be done by phone or on-line.
Thanks for the info about misprints, especially the Carpenter's Wheel. I will check my book.

Mary Q, I haven't seen where anyone else showed interest in signing up for the swap. Please go ahead and sign me up for the Birds in the Air block as my second block. Thanks
