IT's PICKING TIME!!!!
Congratulations to you all for sending in some very Springtime Flower Blocks. I LOVED them all and I know you will also. These will make a very Special Quilt for a Loved one for sure.
After putting them up on the wall I saw that I could pick 2 winners for the blocks and 1 for the 4-patches. It makes a smaller quilt for a child but these blocks are so quick and easy to make you will have no trouble in making the quilt a Lap size.

WELCOME Pals to the FEBRUARY LOTTO BLOCK FUN!! The Whirligig block is another quick one after you have made the first set. This is a set of (2) Mirrored Imaged 8" Blocks using a scant 1/4” seam.
Definitely a Fun one but a winsie bit harder. It is my hope that you will be able to find some time to enjoy making these blocks and possibly WINNING ENOUGH to MAKE a WHOLE QUILT plus getting to know more about your Pals. I am looking forward to seeing some New Pals join me along with all our Faithful ones.

** BLOCK: Whirligig block - Very Easy and Quick after the first one made. USE a SCANT 1/4” seam

** MAIN FABRICS: For one set of blocks you will need - (2) 2.5" x 22" FLOWERS Strips. This can be Life-Like Flowers or TOT flowers

** FABRIC BKGRD: (2) 2.5 x 22" WOW. Preferably flowers/wines. Something not to loud or busy. Maryz I hope you have some of the WOW you used in January

* Each of the Blocks are = 8" unfinished blocks Using SCANT 1/4” seams.
* Share a picture for extra ticket
* Please MEASURE to check the block size - BUT DO NOT SQUARE THEM UP
* Attach a name label to the upper FRONT corner of a set of 2 Mirror Image "8"" blocks
* Please have them TO ME by the LAST DAY of the month.

Here I am, asking questions.

Is there a pattern for this block?

Are you wanting a 2.5 inch strip in addition to the block? I believe I have lots of WOW and lots of floral. I like the idea of making mirror image blocks.

Teresa, I have to ask, too - do you have a photo of this block? Pattern? And it's early and I've only had one cup of coffee, but I'm not sure what you mean by "mirror image".... Same fabrics, but reverse the white & floral to floral & white? Or reverse the spin of the whirlygig? Or??

I have this pattern too. Will check out my fabric this weekend.

Wonderful that you both have the pattern I have it somewhere also but couldn’t find it in my mounds of patterns so I made them to her tutorial. She does go quickly but I took pictures as she went through it so I could use them as I made my first set. Got to LOVE digital phones that take pictures you can delete later
I have one made plus got all the way In the next 5 where all I need to do is sew the 4 sections together

I have 6 sets ready to mail! Once you get the hang of them, they aren't hard, but took me a little while to get the pieces going the right direction!

Will post a picture of mine later.

Going to make blocks...I hope...if granddaughter allows me to.

WOW Mary - 6 sets? How wonderful!!! Will LOVE seeing a picture of them. Hope you didn't mail them yet.

I was also going to include - if everyone sends in the the 4-Patches I will choose a winner for them also but everyone needs to do it.

So I will ask the question: Will everyone send in the 4-Patch blocks??????
