Re: SWING INTO SPRING! New Swap!!
Good morning!
It's the weekend and I can hear all those machines purring! I thought I'd check in here to see who all is checking in here!
TERESA- love it - "Spring is around the 'block'." haha!
Looks like everyone is either making progress or is getting ready to make progress. There are still about 47 sewing days left - a little more than 6-1/2 weeks. Lotsa time!

Re: SWING INTO SPRING! New Swap!!
I should be able to finish my blocks this week. It’s a snow day today so who knows I might be able to do even more sewing.
Sounds like everyone is busily sewing. Tina great job cleaning your sewing room. I need to do that myself.
Quick question for all of you quilters. I haven’t made a full-size quilt much. My sister wants me to make a full size quilt with her daughters baby blankets. Wondering what size blocks any of you have used to accomplish this size? Any ideas?

Bev, good news! I'll be looking for your blocks to arrive in a few weeks! This swap is going fast.
If you are new to large quilts, I think I would suggest 12-1/2" blocks or larger. Another thing to figure is how much drape do you want on the quilt. And if you only want to make, say 20 blocks, but the quilt isn't quite big enough, you can always add multiple borders. Does this help?

Thanks Mary for your idea's on the blanket for my niece! 12 1/2 inches is probably a good block size for the quilt. She's got multiple baby blankets to put together so I'll need to ponder awhile on how many blocks from each blanket etc.

Here's a pic of what my blocks will be. It's not ironed to a background yet but wanted to share with you all.
