OK, I'm new to this venue. Would somebody please take the time to tell me how this Christmas Swap works? It sounds interesting and I think I would like to be involved, but need more info please.

Suzyqrn - we did a sign up several months ago, with 20 slots open. Those that signed up made 20 blocks all the same and our hostess, the one handling the swap, gathered all of the blocks we sent to her, sorted them, so each one of the swappers got one of everyone's blocks. It is a large committment to be the hostess and for each swapper to get the 20 blocks made by the deadline. Life does happen and sometimes gets in the way. But we all have lots of fun doing these.

If you go to the beginning post of this Christmas Swap, you can see all the ins and outs and the rules that the hostess sets up. When we sign up, we agree to all this, so everyone can enjoy a swap like this. There will be other swaps and if you look you will find a block lotto thread each month, that you can make the block, send in it to the block lotto and win, if you're lucky, you can win a bunch of blocks. I have done that many times and won quite often. It is fun! In the block lotto, you can make several blocks of the selected pattern, then you get more chances to win!

I have my blocks! We finally had time to go pick up our mail yesterday. I am so impressed! Each and every blocks is over the top outstanding!! and I LOVE that they are all different sizes! thank you, everyone, for sharing your best work with all of us! And to Tina for hosing such a creative, fun, and festive swap. I can't wait to dive into this project!
