Quilt in a Day Forums

This years Row by Row theme looks to be a fun one. I will be doing the pattern swap this year. SO be watching for how it all works if your new and those that have done it in past get ready to shop hop for those free patterns. I am looking forward to it this year.

Long Tall Sally 54x6
Foxy Boxy 18x18
Short and Sassy 27x12

I will gather what is here near me - hope that this year's is better than last year. Already I know that there are two less shops than we had before. They closed their doors to retire.

Jana, I agree. Some of the blocks last year were terrible. I can collect ones in my area. Lori

There are not enough shops left near me to do this. I would have to travel quite a bit. I have two shops I can get to fairly easy but both are 30 min or more away.

quilt shops for me are quite spread out and in all different directions. I will pick up a row if I am near a quilt shop but wont travel just to pick one up.

Only 2 shops within a reasonable distance of me any more. They are all closing to retire. And I will probably just keep the one or two I get.

A lot of shops have stopped doing this. I was bummed to hear the Bolts in the Bathtub wasn't participating.

I will have to see the other places to determine if I send. A lot will see how far they are as prices of Gas has gone up ($4.09) for the summer - Ugh!! We are trying to cut down on traveling except for necessaries and Dr.s

Hope to see what you all find that are close to you. I still wish we can send away for patterns outside of CA but unless the change the rules that is not an option. I am happy I have kids

I'm not sure if any are participating near me this year, I was shocked last year when they told me no and how much it costs them because they have to buy the fabrics. I hope I can at least get a couple, I'll let you know.

I am paying upwards of $4.25 for gas so won't be going too many places that aren't necessary.

I totally agree with all. I only have couple here and they are 2 hrs away as well. Last year was terrible and why I didnt do it. We may just drop it again this year. But I will post updates thnx for letting me know.
