2018 SS ADENDUM TO RULES: IMPORTANT

Hello all my Santas!

Last year, we had a few glitches in the SS Swap. I meant to update rules for this year to hopefully help things be a little smoother this year.

SO here goes....

While there is joy in giving, there is also much joy in receiving. It warms all our hearts to know that we have been thought of with love at Christmas time. However, there have been many hurt feelings on here because some Santa's didn't give a gift to her elf in past years or were sent too late after the deadline, and due to that, we need to have more rules. If you did not fulfill your SS in the past, you will not be allowed to participate in this year's SS or in future years. I am sorry it has come to this, but we want all that participate to enjoy the Holidays without hurt feelings. If you think these rules are too strict, then don't sign up to be a Santa.

Those who did not meet their commitment last year, will most definitely not be welcomed this year. And if you did receive a gift, but did not acknowledge it in a timely matter, you will also not be allowed to join.

I do realize that things come up.... emergencies happen, family stuff etc... and family comes first. BUT there is NO EXCUSE to NOT contact me and let me know. When I mail your card with your elf name, ALL my contact information is on the back... home no. cell no. and regular e-mail. I don't know how much more emphatic I can be that you MUST communicate with me.

I understand and agree. The Secret Santa Swap is same as for all the other swaps, there has to be rules!

Maryq I agree wholeheartedly with these rules. If someone is not going to abide by them then don't sign up. What you are stating is very reasonable.
