Tina, he is wonderful! The silver stitching and embellishments really enhance his outfit and make him authentic. Great job!

Thank you Chickie, I had a ball being creative and trying to be as authentic as possible, I love how he turned out! Really excited to see the Sue pattern :-)

I'll ditto Izzy. Love your Mexico Sam! Fantastic job.

Here is my Brazil Sam. I like how he turned out. Not sure I'll put the stripes on his shirt.

Thank you Izzy and Beverly, it helps that I see Mariachi's all the time and live 30 miles from the Mexico border :-) I wanted to try to get as authentic as possible. I'm excited to see the Sue pattern! LOL no duct tape but had Friday off plus a totally kid free weekend, woohoo, I made the most of it :-)
Beverly love your Brazil Sam! He goes great with your Sue! I wasn't sure about doing the lines either but went ahead and did, thought at the very least it would help it be sewn down plus I'm doing the quilt as you go so that was just more quilting :-)
I'm all caught up after redoing the Brazil Sue and waiting on the black batting, makes me happy :-)
