Tina, I fixed your 30's swap, let me know if it needs adjusting.

Izzy, there are tons of great animals out there. I think it will be a great quilt.

Chriss, on your animal blocks... are they to be made any way we want? Pieced, appliqued? Do we have to fill the whole 12 1/2" block? If so, can we use sky fabric and make it look like a coloring book page, or just the animal? Or do you want a specific background color?
Joanne

edit to say sorry. I couldn't find Chriss to send her a pm

Joanne, Yes, make the animal any way you want. I kind of want this quilt to be kid friendly so no snarly noses, red eyes or drooling teeth. As for the background and animal, use your best judgement. It will be kind of a hodge podge of critters.

Hostesses, I will miss your wonderful swaps, but must admit, with fall canning, the holidays, Secret Santa, Christmas sewing, and winter travel, I wasn't going to be able to join most of them anyway. You all need a break so you can come back with fresh new ideas for 2017! Thank you for a great 2016!! you are much appreciated!!

Thank you ladies for the wonderful swaps so far. You all do a fabulous job. Looking forward to the next swap. Maybe I can get all my other swaps put together by then. Hahaha. Lori

The key swap will start Jan 2. It will be a 12 1/2 inch block. It will be applique antique skeleton key and something that the key opens. The key in metallics, or blacks and your choice of what it opens. You can make the key any size, but I prefer it to be at least 4 inches long. I will be making a black key with metallic gold on it and an old clock that it will open. I would like lots of different items in our quilt. So think antique and something old looking that your antique skeleton key opens. The background will not be white!!! It will be tan or beige to look antique. I hope that helps. :) Feel free to ask more questions if you are shopping for fabrics. :)

That's going to be fun. I have a key pattern ready. I should start looking for fabrics now. The stores have lots of metallic fabrics this time of year. Lori
