Week 12
1. E8 Honey Bee
2. A2 Abigail's Swing
3. C2 Cotton Boll
Ladies Here is week 12 None are fairly easy . A2 was actually done by hand after several attempts at machine. Advice mark well and line up carefully.
E8 is not hard but applique
C2 is not too bad.
Ladies you will have two not one week to do these. We are taking a week off so everyone can get caught up, enjoy Easter and your leader can take a small trip.
Question How many of you have Sylvia's Bridal Sampler Book ?
I ask because I may exchange one or two in this book for different blocks. Or if you have the Farmers wife book let me know. Of course you all can do the ones I change if you want.
One block I have done twice is A4 I will try one more time. If any of you feel the need to do another block try this one.
You all have fun, get caught up and we will take off again. See you all April 9.
Katy

Katy--I have the Farmer's Wife book.
I drew Abigail's swing out in actual size, and I am going to paper piece sections. Will let you know how that goes...
Have a fun Easter trip!

Katy, you must have read my mind! Last night I was just thinking that we need a week off! LOL
Boy, these look challenging this week. Can't wait to get started. Chickie, let us know how the paper-piecing goes.

I am happy for the week off! I do have the Sylvia's Bridal Sampler book . In fact I hate appliqué so much that I have already made a different block to substitute if my appliqué doesn't turn out! Haha. Have a nice little vacation Katy and Happy Easter everyone!

I answered on the wrong thread!!!
I do not have Sylvia's Sampler. I do have the Farmers wife.
If you substitute, could you please tell us which LUB blocks are being replaced?
I want to just have LUB blocks in my quilt. So if you want to substitute from a book I don't have, that is okay with me. I just need to know which block it replaces.
I am behind, so I am glad to have a week to catch up. I really want to complete this quilt. The blocks remind me of the Loyal Union Quilters novel. I really enjoyed it. I am very happy with the blocks I have completed. I like the fabrics I am using and have overall plan.
Thanks, April

April--I read the book and enjoyed it. MaryZ loaned it to me and I gave it back to her when she was through here in the fall.
I didn't get to sew today... maybe tomorrow. I have the fabrics pulled for Abigail's Swing. I think it will work for paper piece... still some set in seams.
P.S. If you use blocks from Sylvia's Bridal Sampler, I can probably draw them pretty close if I see a picture of your block, so don't hesitate to use that book if I'm the only one without it.
