Hello Everyone!!! Can you believe it. SPRING IS REALLY HERE. I see many would like to do a "Sampler" Quilt so I have chosen El's Treasure Chest 16.5" Blocks http://www.quiltinaday.com/freepattern' ... reepattern Click on the block to start download and then click on the block name again to open it.

All are WELCOME Sign-ups are a show of interest in hopes that life happenings will allow you some time to make some blocks. This is a learning place where we LOVE to play with lots of colors, practice stitching and do our best to make some wonderful blocks for all to enjoy. Take your time. Play with your fabrics choices. Do Not Rush and above ALL HAVE FUN!!!

First a Heads-up: BLOCKS WILL BE SENT TO COURTNEY's ADDRESS.
Second: Please tell everyone which blocks you are choosing so we can try to have an even balance of all 12 blocks made. You may make the same block a number of times BUT you get 3 Tickets each for every different block you make. A number of pals may make the same block so that we have multiple winners at the end of the month.

FABRICS & COLORS: Bright Sunny Springtime Bright Blenders, TOT's and Prints * If you need help choosing colors there is a dot system in every pattern to help you. Please NO Solids.
* Applique Blocks: Please use a LIGHT WEIGHT Fusible, a straight or 1/8" Blanket stitch using a thread that accents the colors. Please No Black thread.

a having trouble with QIAD this morning and downloading the block patterns.. but I'm like the Pineapple block the best!

Hi Teresa,

This is a beautiful quilt. I actually made the quilt top during the block of the month on Facebook. I still haven't quilted though. I am a wee bit behind on my quilting.

I do have a question. Do you want us to use WOW for the background, or can we use another color or light print? I made mine with a light print that was the same throughout.

I am really busy this month, but put me down for Scrapbag. It was one of my favorites. I may select another one if I have time.

Here is my 'Grandmothers tulip'... it's all ironed on, I just have to 'blanket stitch' it down...
I have used 'WoW', I hope that's ok!!! it keeps it fresh looking

Tip: Watch your directions for the Storm at Sea. Very Important part as the diamond corners are mirrored ;

Hello all, I've managed to make up my 2nd block...
'Greek Cross'...



Here are my two blocks side by side...



Lots of Butterfly blocks waiting to be put together, so I will see how I get on with those before I commit to any more...
I have to admit though, these lotto quilts will be BEAUTIFUL!!!
Hurray for Springtime for getting rid of winter blues!!!!!!!

April - Some of these blocks have the babiest of baby blues for a background so if you can find something similar to the color in the photo then feel free to use it or use a WOW. It must be a very light light blue though. ENJOY!!!!
