Farmer's Wife sew along with Sue's QIAD.....January 2016 blocks posted

Post by gershwin64 » Wed Jan 14, 2015 8:07 am

Hi :-) QIAD is making videos of the Farmer's Wife sampler quilt. The way I understand it is they are doing 3 blocks a month. Izzy and I thought it would be fun to do these and we are inviting anybody else that wants to also join us in following along and posting your pictures here :-)
I figured I could add 3 more blocks a month to my to do list LOL why not ;-)

Here are the links to where you can find the videos
JANUARY: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/quilt-in- ... a-day-live
FEBRUARY: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/58467100 ... d/58467100
MARCH: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/58467100 ... d/58467100
APRIL: SORRY no video for April/camera equipment in Paducah
MAY: SORRY no video for May/ camera equipment still in Paducah
JUNE: NO Video again

you can also find a link in Izzy's thread in Chit Chat that takes you to YouTube where there's a video but that one for some reason doesn't start anything until around 25 minutes into it.

Lets see them pictures :-)

Just went out there and watched this video. Fascinating! who is teaching the video? Very nice blocks and love her finished quilt. My computer stopped every 10 min to reload or something but so worth the wait.

Thank you so much. No idea if I could keep up with this but what a nice way to learn some new blocks. You made my day! Better than tv anytime. I would rather be in the sewing room anyway.

Hugs, Shirley mae

Well, I guess I will have to watch the video I was wondering if the block was the one in the Barn Quilt book, but as I read, it is smaller. I need to double check, there was a smaller 6.5 inch block there as well. Humm, will see if I have enough fabric laying around here....
