SBS SEW-A-LONG- -SETTING OUR BLOCKS TOGETHER

Post by Tess » Fri Aug 08, 2014 1:28 am

We will be using this thread to post pictures, ask questions or anything you would like to tell us about your progress.

Please post pictures and share with us how your quilt top is coming along.

The first person who posts a picture of their finished top(not quilted) will receive a small gift. I say "not quilted" because with all the summer chores it's hard to get something hand quilted. Maybe someone other than myself wants to hand quilt this one and that won't be until winter. So to be fair I thought we would be looking at just the tops...OK?

There isn't any pressure, work at your own pace and enjoy Redtop

It is a fine morning here in West Virginia.

I'm anxious to complete the quilt we have been working on since Sept.1st.

Your blocks are beautiful and I am looking forward to seeing everyone's tops. I have enjoyed sewing with you and maybe someone will start another sew-a-long this fall. They help me on projects that I probably wouldn't do on my own. This has been fun!!!

Tess Beuuutiful I am having a hard time picking 120 blocks, but almost have it laid out. Once I get to that point should not take to long to put sashing on. I will let you know my progress. If I host a sew along it will probably start the first of the year avoiding the hoidays.

I love your finished top!!! I only managed a few weeks at the start, but I've 'saved' every page throughout the weeks since, so I can follow the blocks you chose every week.
I WILL get mine done!! I was using Batiks for mine, and loved how they looked! You've done 'sew' well, it looks beautiful!!
Very much looking forward to seeing the ladies tops as well!

Yes Tina I am looking forward to seeing these quilt tops too. This group of ladies have made colorful, beautiful, and perfectly pieces blocks. There's a lot of talent here.
As you said I too have enjoyed seeing all their weekly blocks and reading what each has shared through the entire process.

Got it laid out ready to sew. Worst part is cutting the sashing and cornerstones. I feel like I have orphaned the other 20 blocks but they will go into a dresser runner and pillow tops.
