Welcome to the MONTH of MAY's Block Lotto!!!!
You all did such a great job of learning the Blanket Stitch when making the Hearts blocks and you did a terrific job putting those Flying Geese in there right place last month so I know you will have no trouble with this block.
I can't hear you!!!! Say ... "WooHoo - I can do this!!!!!!!!"
We will be making QIAD's PEONY BLOCK

*** Now I know that this one is a wee bit challenging and I want you to have fun so I have added a second block to bring out some SUMMER FUN COLORS BUT ... Please make at least 2 of the Peony's block. One for you and one for the lotto. You can make more if you want as long as you are having fun

The other block is one we made last year in fall colors. This is the block you can use some wonderful BIG Flowers in some FUN BRIGHT (NOT NEON or SOLIDS) SUMMER Colors. This is a 9.5" unfinished block. This block is for fun and not for your sampler quilt.

The most striking peony flowers are the highly fragrant, massive doubles, usually pink, red or white. Other colors and flower types do exist, however. There's even a hybrid with yellow flowers.

I like the purple of white one. Think I will look for a tiny print with those colors. More the purple than the white. Will need a good contrast so it won't get lost. Might even look for a medium yellow polka dot
