Mystery quilt block from a long time back

Post by Abbigail » Tue Feb 07, 2012 1:00 pm

Hi everyone! I have a question. Is this the site where we started a mystery sampler several years ago? I started it but dropped out when my husband got sick. If so I would love to have the rest of the patterns for the blocks and the placement of them. Thanks, Brenda

Not sure if this is the one you're talking about (and I'm not sure we actually stopped at 21--seems to me we did more than that....I know we were shooting for 30) but here's what I have:
Fabric guestimate : 1 1/2 yd back ground 1 yd A med 1 yd B med 1/2 yd C light or dark (depends on your background and some scraps for the pieced blocks. This is pretty generous and if you want to use from your stash that is fine. This does not include the 10 other blocks, sashing or borders , you are on your own 'cause you are making what you want.

Sally, I remember that one. I think it was also called Nine-Patch Sew-Along. I seem to remember making the first few blocks, but skipping the applique blocks. When we got to the Nelson's Victory block, I said to myself 'that's not a nine-patch,' and never got caught up on the other nine-patches that came later. So that's another UFO for me. :-/

Thanks Sally but I don't think that is the one. I am trying to get some of these ufo's finished and it has been soooo long! I have just bought a Janome (my first) 12,000 and am almost to afraid to try it out! Man these things have so much on them to learn!
