Posted: Tue Nov 29, 2011 10:18 am
I am going to name this one "Our Favorite Eleanor" --"OFE"--and am asking for folks to choose 2 blocks.
I would also like 4 more folks to volunteer to choose some blocks.
The choosers will choose 2 12 inch blocks. The first block will be from your favorite Eleanor book or one of her free blocks. If you don't have her book you may be able to find the block instructions in her video theater. Let us know the name of the block, name of quilt and which book it is in.
The second block will be from quilters cache and it will be a block that makes you think of El when you see it OR reminds you of one of her quilts. Have the block info to me by the 2 or 3 of January and we will begin the sewing around that time. This is a sew along-so you will be keeping each block you make..this is your quilt so choose fabrics that you like. I think I will be using some of El's. send me a pm if you want to volunteer--first come first choose.. I only need 9 more folks to choose blocks for this one..
The second block is for us to offer more variety and various difficulties of blocks. It makes us think of quilt blocks to describe El. LOL
Quilterscache will be free and easy to locate them for any newbies in our group..and it's possible some of El's blocks will be there under different names...
Selections have been made from these books. We will be doing more then one block from each book. It's hard to find so many 12 inch blocks and by going with the same book for more then one block would be more cost effective for everyone. Thanks.
