PAY IT FORWARD
This is a NEW PLACE for us to exchange things to help each other out. I am starting this on a trail basis to see how it works for everyone.
Lets say Jane Doe is making a blue quilt and would like 10" blue squares we could all send her one or like Sally Silly is making a 3 inch log cabin block quilt we could all send her a 3 inch log cabin block.
Also- You have three patterns, or orphan blocks or anything that would interest a quilter, that you know you will never use anymore, you can offer them to the first, tenth or ? of person to PM you.
If are receiving a pay it forward, please pay it forward to three others before asking for something else.
This is for small things we are not asking for that new Elna here....
We are running on an honor system.
So if you have something you would like to see added to "rules" please PM me.

Re: PAY IT FORWARD
I'll go first:
I've started this over in SEW-INS the other day so I'll move it over here.
I would like to make this quilt:
http://www.laundrybasketquilts.com/Shop ... eFarmL.jpg
Would anyone like to make a sheet of half square triangles for me?
Here’s what you do, print out the pattern to the half square triangles sheet.
PC users

MAC users

The sheet *NEEDS* to measure 5 3/4. Pick two fabrics, one that reads LIGHT and one that reads DARK, cut out 6 inch squares. Put them together right sides together with the light on the top, iron, place triangle paper on top and pin, sew on the dotted lines, use a shorter stitch than you would normally use for everyday sewing. Then send it just like that to me. I will cut them all apart. PM me for my address.
I am looking for all colors for the dark, the light can be a light of the main color, or a cream on cream, or tan even a small print will be ok as I am looking for a VERY scrappy look.
Thanks so much,
Vicky

Great idea Vicky......when I print the sheet out for your blocks the square is measuring 6 1/8 inches.....I can't seem to get it to print out at the 5 3/4 inches you require....will try to fiddle with it but am not sure i will be able to get it to 5 3/4 for you

Re: PAY IT FORWARD
In the spirit of "pay it forward" I'd like to share some of my fabric.....
Okay girls, some of you out there must sew with wool--like for a jacket or something.. I have 2 huge pieces... one is a really pretty teal color and the other is grey. I also have a HUGE piece of navy blue heavier weight with a little stretch to it that could probably used to make slacks. Since I don't do that kind of sewing any more--and probably won't again for a long time, since I have a closet full of quilt fabric to use it, I thought I'd see if anybody here could use it.
I'll try to get some pictures of it and post so you can see.
any interest... pm me!
