Possible idea for a book by El

Would anybody be interested in a book by El with just borders and sashings? I know that she has instructions in each of her books, but a single book with just the finishing would be great. Lately I have had the challenge of adding borders to a wall hanging. I have made 2 of these wall hangings and had to search all over for ideas. THEN I had to figure out widths and such. I know that I would add a book from El on this subject to my library. How about you?

well, I would like the basics included in this book.... how to make a border... how to make sashing with and without posts.. how to square something up... how to use the different lines on the rulers... how to figure out how much fabric is needed to make one block how much is needed to make a dozen blocks.. etc... the best way to cut strips, squares...
Linda.. let El know it can all be in one book as long as our needs are met we will be fine...lol

Ohh! I agree with you Sharon and Chriss. that would be great a book from El on "How to's..."

Great Idea Sharon!!
I know El has instructions for a Seminole border (I've seen it) but will have to look through all her books to find it.
Stars in the sashings/borders could possibly be added, I know that is in one of her books also.
And.....as long as we are suggesting.....possibly the Webmaster could query El's blocks and then ask to have them listed by size/inches. Of course, this being if all the blocks are in a database. Sometimes I would like a certain size block for a project, and again, need to look through a lot of pages to find one the right size.
