Here's good news for the stars across America sew along

Just got my newsletter from QIAD and guess what, Stars Across America book is on sale until end of May. So, time to get a bargain if you don't have the book. Then you'll be all set for the sew along, sign ups will be posted probably early July (per We), but wanted to give everyone the heads up on the book sale.

Thanks Carol! I did find that sale, too and since I had to order the small geese ruler, I went ahead and ordered the Stars Across America book....so I guess I've made my decision to do this sew along!! lol!

I just got notification that FedEx delivered my QIAD order. I ordered the Stars Across America book and DVD's during the mother's day sale. So, I am good to go on this one, too. Will probably try to use fabric from my stash again. I have twin granddaughters who are as different as night and day. One likes to sew with me and is "girly". The other will put on whatever clothes happen to be within her reach as she gets out of bed in the morning and would rather go hunting and shooting with her daddy. Maybe I have enough of the outdoorsey fabrics to make her the stars across america and then see what the next sew along will be to make a "girly" quilt. The last one was just too much fun and I do learn new things and make new "friends". I try to stay caught up, but as we all know, life gets in the way, but you eventually get caught up and get inspiration from the others that are participating.

Looking forward the to start of the next on.

(besides, it is a good excuse to tell hubby that I just HAVE to be in the sewing room on Sunday to get caught up. He just rolls his eyes and goes about his business without me!)

Oh, goodie, goodie, the sew along is shaping up. Time to just read that book, it has lots of interesting info and lots of great "finishes". MAYBE, by the time we finish all the blocks, late fall, sometime, I will decide what finish I want. Gotta think real hard on the fabrics, too. Like Jo, I want to use my stash.

well, we'll keep thinkin', meantime gotta finish my UGRR!

Carol, I bought the book and DVD on the sale too....... First we finsih the Sweet swap, then I'll start the sew along. Will be a lot of fun. Looking forward to it. Maybe by July I can get my fabrics sorted out......Nice thought anyway, eh?

I too have my book... and have been looking through it.. I bought the Victory quilts FQ set on QIAD... it was on sale plus I bought some extra fabric to go with it... I think that is what I will use....

Carolyn, it will be fun to have the three J's join the three C's... maybe we can find a dictionary with just c's and j's unless we get more three's to join...

Well, did you guys leave me anything at the sale? My scout schedule is torturous again the last two weeks so missing out on some stuff. Getting ready for Oregon trip this weekend and keeping up all the meetings. Had an interview yesterday to try and get DGS into a school which he hopefully can succeed in. He is very bright but does have some emotional/social delay and public school is just not working at this point.

Chriss, you just inspired me, but I guess the sale is over. The Victory Quilt fabrics would be just great for the Stars Across America quilt.....maybe there'll be another sale. keep my eyes open.
