Lotto Swappers PLease read and comment

Post by momof6quilts » Mon Dec 29, 2008 3:35 pm

Hi everyone.

Any Paper Piecing is canceled. I wouldn't want anyone to have to sit out a month when there are so many pieced blocks to make.

I wondered if you all could post YOUR favorite pattern here for me. Your color choices and any ideas you may have for the Lotto in 2009.

Thank you for your input.

Vicky

I've never paper pieced...but I'll try anything once. It would be anybody's guess how it turned out. For me 4 blocks would be too many to start. I'm thinking maybe a simpler pattern later on? It is a really pretty block though.

I've never paper-pieced either. Wouldn't mind learning, but I think that we kinda need to keep this simple so more people feel comfortable joining.

Personally, I enjoy just the simple blocks and seeing how different they all turn out!

Thank you for asking everyone, Vicky! And thank you for taking this on!

I've done a little PP, but I wouldn't want to send my work out until I have a little more practice. This pattern would make a beautiful quilt. I have to agree with the rest, we need to keep it simpler so everyone is comfortable.

That said, I am going to try this on my own, but make it a little larger.

I've never done pp. Looks like that is way over my head. If you decide to pp that is OK with me. I will sit out that month. I wouldn't even know where to start.

Awww, no paper piecing? Sorry to hear this. I tried it about a year ago and got hooked on it!

Well, I bow to the will of the group nevertheless. The lotto swap is fun; keeping the techniques simple encourages more people to join in.

And for those of you who want a goal for the year, try paper piecing! It's really a lot of fun and makes intricate blocks go together really nicely.
