January Block Lotto

Post by Caroline1947 » Mon Nov 24, 2008 11:04 am

Once again, the rules for Newbies...

This is not a regular swap. Each person makes either 2 or 4 blocks ,using the pattern and colors listed. The blocks are mailed to me,and each person has their name entered into a drawing to win ALL of the blocks. You will be entered once for each block you send.

Please put your blocks in a baggie,(they can be in one bag) and enclose one dollar for postage. Please be sure to put your name and address in the baggie, and if possible attach your FORUM name to EACH block,so the recipients will know who made them.
PM me for my address. The drawing is on the first of the following month from when the pattern is posted.

Here is our new block..About the time we get these we will be ready for a hint of spring,,,so lets do cheerful springy colors with medium green leaves. The leaves dont have to be solids.Lets do cream or eggshell backgrounds...hope you like this one.

P.S. The pattern makes all the dark part look green. I would use more colors and just make a few leaves,,,maybe vary them.....be creative!!!

I love the block, but don't like sewing triangles. I'm in if someone could tell me how to use El's method of making HST? I can do the process, I can't do the math.

So the only REAL leaves are the 2 at the bottom? And the square and the 2 HST can be 2 different shades of pink, for example? Is that correct?
I'm in. I love this block. Put me in for 4.
