CHRISTMAS ROW BY ROW Sampler - Finished! All blocks are home!
ROW BY ROW CHRISTMAS SAMPLER
bethstreet and donnacrazylady are the hostesses.
DATE DUE TO THE HOSTESS: November 15, 2008
When you sign up for a pattern, you are making 25 blocks - TWENTY to the hostess (and you keep five for your quilt).
These blocks are to measure 12.5" unfinished blocks. Please measure your blocks. Measuring the first one made is always helpful.
This quilt will measure 60"x60" before borders. If you want to make your quilt LONGER, you would only need to make 5 blocks of a different pattern to add to the bottom of your quilt. It will be up to you to choose whether you want to do sashing, etc...
Fabrics - Prewashed is a must!!! SCRAPPY blocks are best. If you can use different fabrics in some of the blocks, it will help with the look throughout the quilt.
Please use Reds, Greens & Whites. Save creams for other swaps. The goal is to use the 3 colors ONLY - tone on tone, marbled fabrics, or small prints in the 3 requested colors. NO children's prints.
SEND 20 of each of the blocks you make to me by Nov. 15th, then I will put them together and return them to you in kit form. Please put them in a gallon size zip top baggie with mailing information inside in case the envelope is damaged or rips open so they know where it belongs. If you want to make four baggies of five blocks each, that is okay, too, but put them into the gallon bag. Be sure to put at least your forum name on or in the baggies. Thanks! The goal is to put them in the mail to you on Dec. 1st.
You may either send a stamped return envelope to me, or just the postage (stamp or money) for a flat rate envelope and I will get the envelope from my post office.

Re: CHRISTMAS ROW BY ROW Sampler - Finished! All blocks are home!
Due to some family issues that have ome up, I am going to have to drop this swap. there will just not be time right now for me to complete another committment and do what needs to be done at home.
I am so sorry, but my family has to take first priority.
I had been looking forward to this and had 5 of my blocks finished.

Majik Mary, I'm sorry you have to drop out.
So is there someone out there who would like to sign up in majik's place??? There is still plenty of time to make some pretty Christmas-y blocks!

What book is this pattern in? The pattern I looked at doesn't look exactly like this. All the trangles are the same.

Minnie, we'd be glad to have you join us! Let me know if you are interested once you've looked at the pattern.
I have gotten PMs from two others about taking majik's place, as well. (And to think I was worried no one would sign up.) This will probably be first come, first served. I'm excited to see these scrappy row quilts come together!
