Row Round Robin. CLOSED.

Here we go, Rowers!!! Get to sewing! Your row is due to your partner by August 1st.

Create a theme and row, set your own parameters for the other swappers, i.e: what colors to use or not use, whether you want fusibles, etc. Only 100% cotton fabrics may be used. Please be absolutely sure to pre-wash and press all fabric. Before adding any embellishments, contact the row's owner to make sure it's OK.

Include a note with your original row, explaining your theme. Add any extra fabrics that may be used by the group for creating your rows. As each row comes to you, be sure to add a few words to let the quilter know what you were thinking as you worked on her row. These are so much fun to read when the rows come home.

Rows are to be 48" or 60" wide, height is variable. There will be groups of 5. You will have 30 days to complete your row.

First row - Sent out by August 1
Second row - September 1
Third row - October 1
Fourth row - November 1
Fifth row - December 1

When you mail, wrap everything in plastic, send by priority mail with delivery confirmation. This is very important in case anything goes missing. We've had very good luck with mailings in all the swaps I've done, so hopefully we won't encounter any problems. Treat everyone else's rows like you would your own.

You must post every week, whatever your progress is (or isn't). GOOD COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY. We can work with any situation, as long as we know what's going on.

It was really hard coming up with a theme. I've done 2 Christmas row robins and 2 sea themes. So here goes, my theme is called Jungle Book. No applique - just pieced blocks done with animal prints and bright colored fabrics.

When you say "no applique" is that for the added rows of the row robin or does that include the original row also?

Okay, I will join in but I am still thinking about a theme. I am leaning toward a notions theme, I found some really cute blocks in quilters cache for my original row.

Ohhhh Ann - I have alot of notions fabric. Yes, narrow down what you want. I am putting people in groups as they sign up. So we will be in the same group. I'm too excited.
