After polling, it appears this is the most popular of the swaps. With the Red, White and Blue Mini Bow Ties and Half Square Triangle Fun, second and third. I check the Swap Calendar and there are no Block Swaps due in May. I'm hoping that those that did CindyB and Evie's swaps might have some florals left. By posting this today, it also gives you 2 months to make and mail your blocks. This is going to be a quilt that I keep for myself so I'm really excited about this swap!!!

Block: Granny's Flower Garden - 14" finished block. You can find the pattern at: www.quilterscache.com/G/GrannysFlowerGardenBlock.html
Swapping: 12 blocks (1 set). May sign up for no more than 2 sets, second set must be different from first.
Due Date: May 14, 2008 Returned: May 17, 2008
Instructions: Blocks use 2 1/2" strips of floral fabric with a 2 1/2" square medium yellow center and background coordinating with floral print. Please measure before mailing. Blocks should be 14 - 1/2" square.

3/19/08 - Please put each flower in a baggie with your name/addy/forum name and then put them into a larger ziploc. Just in case your envelope becomes damage during transit, the USPS can get your beautiful flowers back to you. Thanks ladies!!!

3/31/08 - Don't forget if you are in the Red, White and Blue Mini Bow Tie Swap you can send the two sets of blocks together in the $8.95 bulk priority box and save some postage.

4/7/08 - Since we are all using our stash and there are duplicates of some flowers - I need to be able to identify the different flowers. I had ask that each flower go into a baggie and then a ziplock so you would know who each flower was made by. I don't want to change the idea of knowing who your flower was made by so can you please fold each flower with the pattern showing through the bag so it will be easier to identify the different flowers. Thank you.

4-28-08 - REMINDER: The blocks are due to my house on or before May 14, 2008 (2 1/2 weeks).

DJ, I have been thinking. One set isn't enough for a quilt. If I change my mind later can I sign up for 2 sets or would you rather know now.

this was my favorite of the choices! im really interested but will have to think about it as i will be out of the country for medical mission trip may 1-may 10. are you limiting the number of participants? would like to do 2 sets but might be able to only finish one. will let you know definite after the first of the week. marcia (nur5e)

Okay - I'm no bully Lynn. LOL. But you have to admit this is an EASY block. 2 1/2" strips and to turn out that pretty. Redtop and Abbi - I'm so glad you girls decided to play. Redtop and Nur5e - this will just be open until the due date so you can change your number of sets. Signups are just to give me an idea how many ladies are playing. I'll swap out whatever I get. However, if you do two sets it should be different from the first. I plan on making every 6 different. I have been cutting 2 1/2" strips since I decided I wanted to do this quilt. So I hope to have 35 (5x7) for a 70x98 with borders should give me a nice Queen quilt. 12 (3x4) will give you 42x56.

Hi Oasis: If you'd like or you can make each of them different. Use whatever is in your stash.
