Here is my "STARS" quilt.

I want it to be a wallhanging for the end of my hallway. The extra blocks will be a runner for the table underneath it. It is a lot straighter than it looks, I have it hanging from my hutch doors on skirt hangers. I found the perfect flannel (at least I think so) for the backing. I had pictured something with stars in red/white/blue, but when I saw this, I had to have it. LOL

Thank you Val for hosting this project, it was a lot of fun!

Linda - That's a beauty! It will be so nice hanging in your hall. And if you ever need to snuggle under it, the flannel will be so comfy!

Progress Report: I now have my blocks all sew together, just finished last night. This morning DH and I had a audition session for the border and it's chosen. I just have to cut it out and sew it on and then quilt. It is laying on the bed and Peanut and Butterscotch (our wonderful kitties) are enjoying it. As I look at it I am trying to figure out how to quilt it. I'm not good at it so I don't want to try anything difficult, but maybe a bit more than in the ditch. It's queen size, so I have to make sure I don't plan something that I really won't be able to do. But, headway is being made to actually finish my first quilt!!!!!!!!

Ok, I was a little hesitant to post my quilt. I wanted to make this one for my granddaughter and she had (a long time ago) picked out black and white fabric for a "dalmation" quilt. She wanted a quilt with dogs in it. So, instead of piecing the centers of the stars, I just fussy cut the dogs. At first, I thought it was going to be kind of ugly, but I think it turned out ok. I know she will like it because she isn't really a color person. When she gets up in the morning, she grabs the first shirt and pants that she can lay her hands on, and if they should happen to match, well that is a bonus for her.

So, here it is, please be honest with your comments.

I took the pictures this morning, and I guess there wasn't enough light. I will try to take another one this weekend and repost it.

The reason I picked the black and white theme is because in the very beginning, someone said they were thinking about maybe doing black and white and then my mind just went spinning out of control and I remembered this fabric that my granddaughter had picked.
