Well of course the weather here did not cooperate! Bodega Head is a beautiful corner of land with the ocean all around. Too foggy today. Plus it was 48 degrees! So we put Sue away and had a great lunch.

On our way home we stopped in the town of Bodega and took a picture with Sue at the schoolhouse that was in the movie "The Birds".

Oh, I love Bodega Bay in the fog! One of my favorite places to go eat.

Jacquie - did you used to go to Marin Town and Country Club? I practically lived there growing up. Not much sun in SF.

If I remember correctly, they use to (might still) hold a huge flower show there every spring, my mother use to drag me there every year. Unfortunately, as a kid, flowers were pretty, but I would have rather been playing with friends. I was raised in Novato and spent a lot of time in Petaluma, Cotati and SR. I was a state officer for a girls organization, and I traveled almost every weekend between Mill Valley and Ukiah to attend meetings. That whole area of California is just beautiful, but has really gotten too crowded for me.

Before locating up here, near Susanville -- we spent two years in Cobb, near Clear Lake. I really dreaded the times I would have to drive over to Santa Rosa -- what a night mare the traffic has become! My SIL and her family live in SR...one of our nephews will be graduating high school in either 2010, or 2011 and we wouldn't miss it for the world. Maybe we can meet for coffee or something.

Anyway, thanks again for sharing your beautiful photos!! Happy New Year, jacquie

Mary, I used to lived in Northern California, in a town call Happy Camp and also Shasta Lake. Had a cabin on Lower Salt Creek Road really love the cabin. Used spent Christmas and the other holidays at the lake. I live in Oklahoma, and we don't have the trees like you do in Northern California. Your pictures are really beautiful. Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you all.
Mary - is Happy Camp near Weaverville? Used to spend some time there in my teens. Wow all the way to Oaklahoma from Ca.
Jacquie - it's a date - coffee in 2010. The way time flies----remember when we were all excited about 2000?
I kept looking for Lassen as we drove up but it was clouded over. The Western hills were full of snow.
Wesig - Shasta was real low as we drove by. My SIL said they are expecting a harsh winter so maybe it will fill up this year.
Will get Sue on her way next week. Thought she might want to party last night but we all went to bed at 11.
Take care, Mary
