Everyone's blocks are sew pretty! Of course, it just started and already I am behind. Had to put all sewing, quilting, etc on hold because hubby decided that the apples were ready to be picked on Sunday, so on Sunday afternoon, after we picked the apples, I stood for don't know how many hours and got everything ready to make apple pies for the freezer. Only got 6 made on Sunday, because you can't stack them until they are frozen and I am running out of freezer space. Then on Monday, only made 4 more (ok, I was tired from Sunday and working on Monday). Tuesday and Wednesday, made 4 more each day and last night I decided we had enough apple pies in the freezer for now. Of course, this weekend will probably be different because I really don't want the apples to go to waste. Besides, a nice warm slice of fresh baked apple pie on a Sunday afternoon in the middle of winter is just wonderful. I promise we will get caught up soon.

Tarajo,I hate the triangles too.....even tried cutting them oversized and still they come up crooked.....glad this is not a swap!!

Grandmajojo, I will be in IL for Christmas.......bet the smell of warm apple pie will lead me right to your door~~~~~~~LOL What could be better than a freezer full of apple pies !!! Do you bake them first or freeze and bake later?

i tried the technique where you put the 2 squares together and then seam against a center line, and then cut in half, voila 2 perfectly squared off triangly things.. for everyone in the world except me, clearly :) perhaps my MOM can help me figure out what i am doing wrong:)

tarajo- When making half square triangles i actually draw my sewing line on the fabric or I am off when i sew the diagonal line. Your block is very pretty.
