Progress for Sunday August 3rd

#1 Jake's Quilt: 30 Minutes zigzagging around fish!!!

#4 Victory Garden: 30 Minutes taking the piece out of my project box and laying them back up on the design wall... that was a booger of a time... I could not remember how it went together since some of the on point rows were done already... it won't be moving until it is all finished!

#5 Sailboat: Finished pinwheel bottom border...

Night all!!!
Cheers!

It's hot today here in MO, heat index is 106 they say, so after having to make a shopping run, and putting things away, I thought I would spend a little time on my quilt projects.
Before DH decided we should barbecue I managed to get in:
45 min on project 1 improved 9-patch
45 min on project 5 cutting blocks of friendship star swap
So far so good!
Why is it men barbecue, and get the credit and women do the work?

Question:

I finished #3, but, only used 3.5 of the 6 hours we're supposed to have on a project. Guess I mis-calculated or worked faster than usual. LOL Sooo, in order to be fair, should I add a second project onto #3 and then when that project is completed, have it counted as a finish? I've got 2 T20 college quilts (ASU & VT)that need binding and that should be about 3+ hours of work. Let me know what you all think.

In the meantime, I'm going to work one of the other 4 that are waiting. I'll post my time in a little while.

Thanks,
Deanne

Progress for Mon. 8-4-08:

OK, I made an "executive decision" and combined 3 projects so that the time frame would be equal to about 6 hours of work.

#3: 3 hrs. pinned, quilted and bound.
#3a: 30 min. binding fabric found, cut & pressed (ASU T20)
#3b: 30 min. binding sewn on front. (Virg. Tech T20)

Jan, good for you on taking a mental health day. We all need those and what better way to relax but to quilt?

That's all folks. LOL Deanne
