Re: Home Sweet Home SWAP
Hey Girls
Ok, I see this morning that there are 8 of us... .But we really need 9 blocks to make a full quilt right? So I figure since I'm going to be appliqueing 9 bird house blocks, why not applique 9 more while I'm at it!
I found a darling little "crooked house" pattern and thought..... what the heck... I'm in for an extra set!
I did get all the pieces traced last night and since I'm stuck at home waiting for a guy to repair my garage door, I'll have something to keep me busy while I wait!
So Maryz ...... add me to the list of swappers for a 2nd set!
I'll post a picture when I get one set up!

MARY Q - yay for you - and for us! I'll put you down for a second set. Wonky houses? That will be great! Kind of what I live in! lol!
So, fellow swappers, we are now nine. Folks can still sign up until midnight tonite. Anyone else want to do a second set?
We still have a few folks who are deciding on what home they want to make so when you know, let us know and I'll add it to opening post of this thread.
Happy home building!

Maryq, so glad you stepped up to make our quilts even out.
Bev, you could do half haunted houses and half farm houses. or you could flip a coin. Either way both sound like great houses.
Ok, today I pick fabric to make 9 blocks but will happily make 10 or more if there are more signer uppers.

OK, time's up! Unless I've missed anyone we are at 9 swappers and sign-ups are closed. So, ladies, start your machines! You have two months to make 9 blocks and get them to me by June 1st. I hope you all have fun with your blocks! And if you haven't confirmed with me yet what block you are making, now would be a good time! Have fun! And please don't forget to check in here at least once a week with a progress report. We want to know how everyone is doing. Thanks!

9 is a good number. I will be picking fabric today and hopefully fusing it so I can cut out the pieces. This swap will be a great distraction.
Mine are fused and I will start cutting the pieces out tonight

My blocks are all fused. Need to finish stitching them down. I plan to use a machine blanket stitch, my favorite, and use matching threads.
LORI - did you decide for sure to go with the dog house? Can't wait to see a sample block. It's going to be so cute!
