yes, i loved getting my 'january lotto' blocks today, and i just couldn't resist making a few more to add to the mix, then sewing them altogether!!! i was 'sew' excited!!!

teresa, really glad you like you wee blocks i sent you to play with!

I have to say, these were the easiest blocks to make. Thank you Teresa for picking lovely but easy blocks.

My BFF came over yesterday for a sewing day (we try to get together every 2 weeks or so). When I showed her the blocks I made and then showed her how to make them, she was amazed. She is working on a very complicated block. I decided to sew some more of these blocks just in case I win the Lotto (or not). Mainly, I wanted something I didn't have to think too hard about because I was busy chatting. I can't chat and sew! I finished 7 blocks to her 1 block (not that we were in competition but...)

Here's my poetic bribe:

Rose are red,
Violets are blue
This Disappearing 4 patch
Was soooo easy to do!

They were done in a snap,
I've learned something NEW,
Thanks to Teresa,
They're mailed and coming to you!

OK here is mine ...

Yes some Roses are Red
and Violets are Blue
No one ever thought
We'd get past year #2

We did and are thrilled at year 22
to prove everyone wrong
We found some hobbies
to keep us strong

Rob loves to create with Wood
and has made me a stand
Oh but I must adorn it with Love
filled with many hearts from friends

So I sit here sewing my Reds, Pinks and Whites
Hoping the Hand of the Picker will pick my name
dreaming of being a winner this month
and the joy of seeing the quilt hang ... from the stand

Jo and Sally - Rec'd your blocks today and they are FABulous!!! Again the choices are perfect and have found a wonderful home. I think the hardest part for me is breaking them apart from each other at the end of the month. A number of them have already formed attachments

Velda - Thanks for the congrats. We are blessed to have found each other.

Mary - Marcia - Have you mailed yet. I know you made your blocks but I haven't rec'd them yet and am trying not to get worried.

Joanne and Lori - Hope you are still with us. No pressure though. Just FUN!!!
