March Secret Pals - Officially Closed

I received my Secret Pal box yesterday!! kittyquilt/Carol had my name again this month and did a wonderful job of picking great things!
This is what she sent me: A project bag from El-"Eleanor Burns made a stripper out of me!" which I REALLY need! I will use it to keep my UGRR blocks in! A rack to hold my rulers..I desperately needed a second one..bought one, but it's full and still have rulers laying around the sewing room! Plant markers which I really need right now, Spring has Sprung, so I'll be planting some new herbs and these are perfect to mark them because they kind of disappear in the winter months. A really nice dish towel with coffee cups embroidered on it (I love coffee!). And three fat quarters..(my DIL almost stole the two that were alike! she loves them, so they will go into her quilt that I'll be making!). The third quarter yard is so pretty! Lavender background with garden motifs all in pretty Spring colors! So cheerful! I'm thinking a tote... And a note on a "Serenity Prayer" note card..my favorite poem/prayer. For 18 years I had this prayer in a frame on my desk at work..it kept me on track and calm.

Hi Jean, Your guifts were very nice. I love the fabrics you sent. I also love the card with your note on it . Did you make the card? And I can't wait to start reading the book. This Sunday and we just got home from a weekend family and friends getaway in Wisconsin Dells.

Joanne, so happy that you liked your things and found them useful. I know both DH and I have really enjoyed the Serenty prayer. We have it framed in our computer room and we often quote it when we get stressed.

Just got back from my mailbox and had a package from Glenda. She sent me some blue fat quarters, a lovely note and a Turning Twenty Feelin Groovy Book!

Has a picture of a patchwork horse pillow that I have just got to make!

DH and I moved from Alabama in 97. Lived in a little town just north of Montgomery for nearly 14 years. And I remember meeting you last year in Paducah. We won't be going this year, but hopefully next year.
