Sue arrived today.
I'm still in my pj's because I've been home sick all week. We're going to Mt. Shasta for Christmas so Sue gets to come. That is at the northern end of California. Will take some local pictures when we get back and then off she'll go.
Merry Christmas all.

LOL Katie -- A jackalope is a big spooff here in the west -- we have so many jack rabbits and antelope, many years ago as a joke someone stuck a pair of antelope antlers on a stuffed jack rabbit, creating the jackalope. In my area we have lots and lots of jack rabbits, antelope and pheasants -- so someone stuck some tail feathers of the pheasant on a jackalope -- I thought it was cute and Sue seemed impressed with it -- hence the photo! Happy trails, jacquie

Hope you are feeling better Mary -- WOW, your tree is beautiful! And who is that handsome furbaby? I'm guessing he is Rotty/mix or Dobie/mix??? He looks similar to our old Rotty/border collie mix -- that we lost Rocky almost two years ago now. Your guy is looker! BTW, Sue is really fond dogs!!

Lucky you, getting to spend Christmas at Mt. Shasta!!! I use to spend my summers on Lake Shasta and I just love Mt. Shasta!! I'm not too far away, outside of Susanville, but the high desert just isn't Shasta! I hope you have a lovely and white Christmas!! Happy trails, jacquie

Used to spend every Easter at Lake Shasta. It's a beautiful place. You may very well have a White Christmas this year!

Feeling a lot better - thank you.
Kenny is a pound puppy - and we also think he has rotty and dobie in him. He is a wonderful dog - our grandpup actually. He will be 8 this month.
We've been stuck in the snow a few times at Christmas. Taking our son's 4 wheel drive this year.
We usually go up to Mt. Shasta during Easter break also. Spring skiing is so much nicer than winter - doesn't stop the younguns.
Couple of years back on the way home there was snow at lake level and on the sides of hwy 5 in Redding.

Yes - Sue did indeed have a white Christmas in Mt. Shasta. Luckily we took this picture when we did - because the next few days the mountain was covered in clouds. It has its own weather system they tell me.
We had a gread snowie Christmas. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday.
I will keep Sue for another few days as I want her to see the Pacific Ocean from my favorite place.
