WOW, this "swap" is getting more and more interesting....
I do agree, Chriss has been the best! And I think a Christmas swap would be great.....
But, I'm sorry, I can't go as far as the splits, will leave that to Maryz,,,,,,
Go Mary, Go!

so we are thinking a sampler in Christmas fabric or are we thinking some kind of a Christmas pattern...or applique.. Christmas tree's, presents, angels, wreaths????
and what kind of a time frame are we talking about...
and with MaryZ laid up from doing the splits she will have lots of time...lol..
I do have some but not much Christmas fabric.. but I think I know where I can get some... drat, another shopping trip... but for you girls I am willing to bite the bullet and go out into the LQS... it's the kind of friend I am....lol

Well Chriss you beat me to it and that is cool. I love the idea of a sampler.
I just saw this one ...Christmas Traditions from the book Four Seasons at Minglewood by Debbie Roberts. Can you imagine?
Count me in definitely for the Christmas Swap BUT can we not make any firm plans until maybe the end of the summer?

Hey! It's me - recovering from my over-enthusiastic splits. A Christmas sampler sounds nice. But calling a color theme would be good. Personally, I'm a fan of blue/white/silver as Christmas colors, but most folks are more the red/green type - or just red & white. So there should be a vote on color after we decide blocks, etc.
Second, I think a date to have them in by should be no later than Oct 30 to give people ample time to put them together for Christmas - or to use as gifts. And even that might be late for some of us.
Thoughts?

ok then... if we sign up by the first of July, have the blocks to me by the middle to late september and I have them back in the mail by October first...
lets hear the colors
Maryz... blue, silver and white
Chriss... gold, red and green
or would all 6 colors work..... and... I prefer no glitter... I don't mind shiny threads but glitter is such a mess...
maybe we could each pick a 12 inch block and list them so we dont' have two the same... make 20 blocks and I will shuffle them up...
and I like any fabric.. novelty or not.. what do you all say?
let me know what you all want to do.

OK - I think that I can handle those dates - count me in - I am a big fan - tons of Christmas fabrics - reds, golds, greens, silvers, blues - you name it I have it! Some do have sparklyies so i will make sure they stay in the basket!

Chriss, I'm in! Any or all colors, types of fabric is fine with me. A true "scrappy". Dates sound good, too. Gives enough time to put it together for the holidays! You could start the sign ups earlier..maybe.
Great idea!
