I'll tell you what. For this swap we will say labels are quilters choice.

Next time I host a swap I likely will omit the labels from the rules. Not sure why it's in there, I guess because we've always done it that way.

I am going to add "quilters choice" in the label paragraph of the rules.

Chriss, I have to admit that since we're all pretty familiar with each other by now I've wondered why we were supposed to put real names, forum names, and city/state on every block. Sometimes I use a fabric marking pen and put just my first name in a seam allowance. But I make sure it's on a side of the seam that is pressed away from the block so it doesn't show through.

Maryz, Ive wondered the same thing but its been done that way since I can remember.

And if you think about it once the quilt is put together no one remembers who did which block.

We are Scrappy, we are rebels, We will lead the label revolt.

I need to get out my scrap boxes to see what I have. I'm sure I won't have to buy anything. Lori

Lori. I bet I have a remnant of an off white or cream color. I’m always buying remnants. I’m addicted

Val. You are so silly picking a patient so you can go to a quilt shop

Chriss, I have a stash of whites, beige, cream, tan. If I see something I like, I get a few yards. I like scrappy backgrounds, so I'm always using them for different projects. You never know when you might need them.

7 more days to sign up. Im not convinced we will get 20 swappers and will open it up to a second set on the 15th.

Enough for 11 cut. Can work on the background and sewing over the weekend. Tonight going over a friends house to discuss her Dad's memorial service. The scouts are putting it on jointly with the church. He was such a wonderful man. Will really miss him, we want to send him off with a bang. Just need to make sure what the family wants and doesn't want.

Good morning ladies,
Just hanging out today, waiting for the big snow. They are dismissing all the schools at noon, so grands will be back then, and wait for DH & DD to come in, then no worries for the weekend.
I have enough blocks done for 15, (60 blocks) and have my last 20 all cut and ready to sew. Decided to do them all while I had time, and will send what I need, then if I have some left, will add to my quilt. I have been able to make each of them a different fabric, and still have the unknowns in 5 or more totes, and what I can't get to....Oh, my....I don't dare tell my family that!
And, the LQS still sounds good! You all have a great day....Becky
