Alina,
Do I cut out and tape everything together or just the sections together? (Hope you're ready for LOTS of questions ! LOL)
I've printed the bunny out and also the sample block that wasin the tutorial on hoe to paper piece. Guess I'll start with the sample first. I still have reservations but it looks so easy.

Susi & Alina, your bunnies are adorable!

I've got mine printed, cut out and taped together-- now to give it a try! Paper piecing is something I have really wanted to try, but it just confuses me... so I've never tried it before... Maybe this will be just what I need to get me over my fear! And, I love bunnies, so this is the perfect block to get me started!!

I think I may make mine whimsical-- maybe some Easter Fabric for the bunny?.... something bright and colorful...

Ruth... after you print them out... tape them together by sections... on the bunny he has 4 sections A, B, C, D... tape all the A's together... all the B's together... all the C's together and D only has one piece... sew each section together first then you will sew the 4 sections together! Does that help?

Hugs!

I did it! I did it! Whooo Hoooo!!

Well, I only had to remove the stitching on 3 seams...(sigh!), but that's ok! I ended up using freezer paper...that was so cool! It helped to hold the fabric in place, too. I will take a picture tomorrow when my son is here to show me how to get it into my computer and where to find it! lol!

Alina, I'm sooo glad you did this! It's really neat to learn a new technique..!!

csusio if you don't mind, I'd like to "steal" your button bunny eye idea??!!

OK maybe paper piecing isn't my thing. My bunny will be backwards........IF I ever get him finished. I guess I am too used to cutting pieces the correct size and I didn't make my pieces big enough, then I didn't turn the pattern around before I printed it. I ripped out as much as I sewed. I took off the paper before I should have, I forgot to cut off the excess fabric before I sewed the next piece on.............YIKES.....I'm a walking tutorial of what NOT to do.......LOL
I finally figured out that I needed to use my light box for correct positioning and aside from being backwards, I may have finally gotten it thru my thick head. (Went back and watched the videos and re-read the tutorials) DUH!! Oh well I hope I have learned from all those mistakes and next week will be easier.

OK so I just re-read some of the postings and only the bunny is meant to be paper-pieced......hooray!!!. Applique I can do.
Ruth
(I guess I get too excited and go off thinking I know what I'm doing before I read all the instructions. Its amazing I've lived as long as I have without hurting myself (too much) LOL
Ruth
p.s. I may actually try paper piecing again too.

Sorry, one more question. What is the overall size of the quilt?

Hey Ruth, everything (almost!) that you did wrong I did too!
My bunny is backwards but it's ok! Alina's is backwards (but she'll probably make another! lol!)
Not me, buddy, I LOVE my bunny just like he is!
I think my brain is backwards or something!
I know that I do need to take my time...
