Wow, I thought sewing 2 1/2" strips together would be easy too. I'm sorry these are causing problems. They are such pretty blocks. Quilterbee - I'd never heard of the index card trick. Thank you and Sarah for sharing it.

Sarah/Quilterbee: Please clarify the index card process. I've gotten some PMs with questions. Thank you.

Here is mine. I am so sorry I did it wrong and put white as the border. It is the first time I think I have ever had a perfect 14-1/2". I will do another one and try to do it right

Loretta that is a beautiful block. Luv the floral print. Are those jonquils? Did you use a scant 1/4", just curious?

I keep looking at the pictures of the flowers posted so far and I am getting so excited. This is going to be a gorgeous quilt. So ladies, what kind of border do you put on this. The picture above doesn't have one. Also, how would you quilt it? Ideas??????

Is it alright to make the blocks different from each other in a set? I have a lot of scraps I would like to use instead of going out and buying enough to make them all alike. ~Abbigail~

Oh yes Abbi absolutely. I'm using what is in my stash - as I am on a no buy since November when DH found out how much fabric was in my stash:)

Oh how cruel!!! That's one tough guy you have there! How did he manage to see it all anyway? Surely you know why it's called a "stash"?
Thanks for the reply. Good, I hope I can cut down on some of my odd and ends.
